All posts are required to telephone to the Control Centre at the times stipulated by the Control Centre.

Those teleprotection calls sent by the posts and received by the Centre are recorded in the log sheet for reference purposes. Should a post not make their "protection" call as schedules, the Centre would telephone to the post, if proper contact cannot be made, supervisors would be dispatched to investigate, and if necessary the Police may also be notified.
